April 26-28, 2016

The PFR Project Team will convene the Third Prevention and Family Recovery (PFR) Grantee Leadership Training Meeting on April 26-28, 2016 in Newport Beach, CA.  This third meeting marks the end of the initial two-year PFR grant period for the four grantees.  The objectives of the meeting are to:

  • Discuss key lessons learned during the initial grant period for successful PFR program implementation and improved family outcomes, and the implications of those lessons for the larger field
  • Identify breakthrough program, practice and policy strategies for providing comprehensive family-centered treatment for families involved in FDCs
  • Engage in peer-to-peer strategic thinking to pinpoint grantees’ major unresolved challenges and develop effective strategies to address those issues
  • Discuss the purpose and expectations for a PFR continuation year and identify grantees’ priority goals and training and technical assistance (TTA) needs
  • Identify current and potential strategies for sustaining the PFR enhancements beyond grant funding
  • Build grantees’ capacity to disseminate PFR lessons learned to key partners and stakeholders, their larger communities and other jurisdictions
